Upslope Brewing

Upslope Brewing

Meteorologically speaking, it’s a front range-covering, water-table-filling, snow-dumping weather pattern that anyone with bindings and a roof rack would die for. Beerologically speaking, it’s carbonated gold. In 2008, Matt Cutter, Henry Wood and Dany Page, kissed their homes in Cleveland, Atlanta and Argentina goodbye to bring their beer-brewing love affair to Boulder, Colorado. With that, Upslope Brewing Company was born. And after ten years of supplying Colorado with trailhead tallboys, and pow-day libations made from the freshest snowmelt, the finest hops and the purest passion for living life outdoors, one thing has become undeniable. These guys didn’t just float another microbrew into the sea of Colorado microbrews. They created a lineup of quality craft beer that tastes as good poured from a tap as they do pulled out of a fishing vest. In other words, for those who call the Continental  Divide home, the perfect storm.

Sanitas Brewing

Sanitas Brewing

We began with two brewers’ audacious passion for beer. Hustling by day and brewing by night, Michael Memsic and Chris Coyne noticed owls watching over them during their brewery brainstorming days. In 2013, they adopted their feathered friends’ look, adorned with the Brewer’s Star: a representation of malted barley, grain, hops, water, yeast and the brewer; 6 elemental ingredients in the frothy beverage we all love.

Since then, they’ve built a team of bold, spirited and adventurous individuals working together to bring you a tasty beverage to enjoy in the company of our tap room, to accompany you to our neighboring Rocky Mountains or sip in the comfort of your own home. Our team strongly believes in beer bringing people together and take pride in our tap room serving as a watering hole for your entrepreneurial collaborations, post-work decompressing and celebrations! Stop by and enjoy a taco and crisp brew, hike Mt. Sanitas and reward yourself with one of our famous lagers or sip a stout next to your fireplace; whereabouts your passion leads you, we’re confident in our beer you bring to compliment that journey.

West Flanders Brewing

Located on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, West Flanders Brewing Co. is a Belgian-inspired brewpub creating style-bending food and beer that demonstrate how craft and passion come together.

The Post Brewing

Post Brewing

The Post Brewing Co. was borne out of our love for Hot Chicken and Cold Beer. We grew up eating fried chicken from our grandma’s cast iron skillet, and we’ve had dreams of doing our own Colorado version of fried bird for decades. So after many plates eaten, after many planes traveled around the country to try other recipes, inspired by other grandmas, we’ve arrived. The Post Brewing Company in Lafayette, Colorado was where Chef and Owner Brett Smith (Smitty) began perfecting our Colorado-style fried chicken recipe, and now we are putting this love into more joints along the Front Range. At this chicken party, we serve only humanely raised, fresh and all natural chicken and whenever possible we source local farm produce – all handled with love and intention.

Crystal Springs Brewing

Crystal Springs Brewery

Crystal Springs Brewing Company is the culmination of a dream that began almost 10 years ago – really over 20 years ago. In 1988, my son suggested to me that we brew beer. Home brewing had been legalized in 1979 (Jimmy Carter signed the bill in 1978), but it wasn’t necessarily legal in every state, if it violated state law. I’m not sure when it became legal to brew in Colorado, but the GABF (Great American Beer Festival) began in 1981, so it may have been right away. Regardless, my son and I began our adventure. There weren’t any home brew stores around at the time, but we were able to buy ingredients from “Colonel John.” We bought a copy of Charlie Papazian’s book (still have that original copy), got the ingredients we needed and brewed from a recipe in his book – I think it was Rocky Raccoon. We were blown away when the beer turned out to be not only drinkable, but also quite good. We were hooked! I’ve been brewing ever since and so has my son.About 10 years ago, I started thinking about starting my own brewery. At that time, it seemed like an impossibility, but my wife, Kristy, continually encouraged me and we began a journey to make it a reality. While it took some time to make it happen, it all became a reality on May 13, 2010.

Boulder Beer Co.

Boulder Beer Co Tours

In 1979 two professors at the University of Colorado started Boulder Beer Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery.  At that time there were only 42 other operating breweries in the country!  The original site of the brewery was a small farm northeast of Boulder, the brew house sharing space in a shed originally housing a few goats.

In a world of light yellow lagers, Boulder Beer won industry and consumer accolades for its line of bold Boulder Beers: Boulder Porter, Stout and Extra Special Bitter. Five years later, the brewery moved to its current site in Boulder and expanded from its original one-barrel brewing system to a 50-barrel brew house with top-of-the-line packaging equipment. In 1994 we converted the original tasting room to our full-menu pub and epic patio under the Flatirons.
